A work in Progress

This is a spread that I have just put something down over a long time.

I really don't care to draw over such businesses. I have a hard time seeing my drawn lines. So I drew the face on tissue paper. In doing this I found it was easier to get the face symmetrical by folding the tissue paper over and trace the features from the other side.

Before gluing on the page I brushed water around the image. This made it very easy to tear the excess away.

After it had dried, I used color pencils on the face and paint on the back ground.

I think she isn't finished yet. But I am thrilled with the beginning.

Lifebook 2016

This spread was inspired by Ivy Newport's lesson from Lifebook 2016 Week 2.

Radiant 2: Art Journals

This spread was inspired by Effie Wild's take on Marieke Blokland class. The face is started with a print of a face from the Birth of Venus artwork.

Peacock Girl

2 of the online classes that I am currently taking are Radiant 2 Art Journals and Lifebook 2016. This page is inspired from a class in each of these classes. I started out the page using the Neocolor 2 water soluble crayons like Tam does in week one of LB2016. When I decided to add the paper napkins I chose to match the colors like in  Marieke Blokland lesson in Radiant 2

Radiant 2: Art Journals

Here is my take from Nolwenn Petibois Lesson on Radiant 2 online class. The Peacock Feather napkin just looked like hair to me.
