Dylusions layout.

Dyan Reaveley has some great u-tube videos. These pages are inspired by the one she did demonstrating her Journal block.

I did these on the last few blank pages of a Dylusions Journal that is my 2016 Planner/Art Journal. On each page I used Lemon Zest paired with a different colored spray in the blue/green colors. Except the very back page is pink and orange. In adding the pages I used masking tape. After spraying a layout, I painted the tape with some clear gesso with a little of the spray that I used to tint it.

With the backgrounds done and the borders doodled on the next step is to add the collage.

Thanks for looking.

Time to put the Journal back together again.

About 3 months ago I took apart my spiral bound Strathemore Journals. For me it is so much easier to work on the pages without that wire in the way. I have reorganized them, touched up some of the pages that had that white strip and made some new pages. I am excited that today I have finished the last page of my very 1st Art Journal that I started and now I can put the journal back together again. Not all the pages are complete but I feel there is enough on them that the wire will not be in my way if I add stuff. Here is the last page.

And here is the video by Roben-Marie that I got the inspiration from.

Art, Heart and Healing Journal Page

I am so pleased with this journal page. For years and years I have wished I could draw and shade faces. I have watched numerous of videos free and paid lessons in learning all sorts of mixed media techniques. A couple of months ago I signed up for some of Jane Davenport's online classes. I feel in watching these videos and following her tips I have made great strides in my capabilities. I am excited what might be next in my creative art explorations.

I did this page following week one of Tamara Laporte free video lessons Art, Heart & Healing

Tamara is another great teacher. I have signed up to take her Life Book 2013 series that starts January 1st. It is going to be another exciting course.

29 Faces - 8, 9 and 10

Here are some more faces I've been working on.

Face #8 I didn't care so much for the dark pencil outline on this one, so

For Face # 9 I didn't use any black pencil. I used the Sienna Brown to start sketching her. Really liked the difference it made.

Finally I made it to the Public Library to check out several books on drawing faces, coloring with colored pencils and several others. Here is Face # 10. I like her a lot. I was bound and determined to not post just a face but to put it on journal page. I've put her on a background I had already done following this You Tube Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tf6pj_pYRoM&feature=related
I still need to work on the layout and I also need to work on my photography skills.
