I love to play with acrylics, watercolors, colored pencils, papers, rubber stamps, inks and all sorts of other art medias. I am not very good with coming up with ideas of my own to create. So instead of just sitting on the sidelines and wishing that I was more talented I start creating by what others have created on blogs, websites, you tube, free tutorials and paid online classes. A lot of the time my work looks very similar to theirs, but I am learning, playing and having fun, fun, fun.

February make and takes
When I first started playing around with this Faux Pinwheel layout, it was hard to eyeball putting the larger squares of the pinwheel in place. On the back I ended up drawing a lot of lines from corner to corner trying to put the pieces evenly in place. It was too much work for one card. After putting it together I traced it and made a template to go by.
I am a big fan of Michelle Zindorff's blog. Some day I hope to go to one of her workshops on brayering. I've played around with brayering and would like to learn how to do it better. This card is from a tutorial on the direct to paper technique (an easier technique than brayering).

The 3rd card was using the same main stamp "Inspired by Nature" and was simpler to make.

S&S Color Challenge #1: Spring
Last week OWH Stars and Stripes blog had a Color Challenge
http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/2010/02/s-color-challenge-1-spring.html
You were to make a card and use the colors in this Spring dress.
At the time I did this card I was working on Faux Pinwheel layout for my February make and takes, so I did another one using the colors from the dress.
